WHO WE ARE.

Solution4U is a technology consulting firm that specializes in a wide variety of industries. We are technology experts who understand that a successful technology implementation depends on much more than simply finding the right combination of hardware and software. It has to start with a clear and strong grasp of each client’s strategy and business requirements. What we bring to the table is a mix of operational insight, innovation and best practices.

We’re Focused Professionals, Like You

We recognize that companies whose sites are powering their business know their success is tied to more than just infrastructure. They want a team who is always on, always vigilant and always there to help. That’s us…we’re your team. Monitoring your servers, mitigating risk, optimizing performance. And if you need support, with one of our technicians quickly and on your first contact. Everything we do is about being that partner you can trust.

Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. You typically pay only for cloud services you use, helping lower your operating costs, run your infrastructure more efficiently and scale as your business needs change.

Cloud storage isn’t actually that complicated, and has been around for longer than you might think. That email service you’ve been using long before any dedicated consumer cloud storage services came into being- that is essentially a cloud system. All the emails you receive and send are stored in that particular provider’s servers on the internet. The same goes for cloud storage, only this time you get to choose what data (be is photos, documents ) is stored in your account. You might not need to use a hard drive or USB stick, but somewhere along the line is has to be stored in a physical device

Many businesses are getting to the point where their servers are aging and, whilst the obvious answer five years ago was to refresh the hardware, the answer today is more likely to be to move to the cloud without upgrading your hardware.

CLOUD MAKES SENSE.

Cloud computing is very compelling for new site launches, whether they be websites for a small startup company or a large enterprise. Cloud computing can also be attractive to large enterprises who want to be more agile in their site launches.  Procuring additional hardware is a long, painful process at most companies.

There are many sites that have regular peaks and lows in their traffic. Think of retail stores that experience a spike in traffic around the holiday season. Think of tax preparation sites which spike during tax returns, think of sports sites which have peaked as fans pick fantasy players (Dream11, Hotstar) and check out stats online, and have lows during the off-season.

Now, the disadvantage is that these sites have to plan for the maximum load that they can expect, to be sure that their servers can handle the traffic.  However, many of these machines may be sitting idle during their lows in each of the above scenarios, but they still have to pay to cool them, maintain them, patch them, etc.  On the other hand, if they don’t have enough hardware, they may miss out on revenue or exposure during the “peaks”.  So it’s a tough balancing act.
