Now that model-VJ Pia Trivedi has stepped into a new arena, she claims that she’s going to play for keeps.Pia is making her acting debut in the soon to release Hum Tum Shabana and says that performing onscreen is hands down more satisfying than modeling. “I think acting in front of the camera is way cooler. The fashion world looks really glamorous. The high you get walking on the stage for a few seconds is fantastic but it’s not really satisfying. As an actor you get to take yourself higher, whereas the process and the growth in the fashion industry are extremely slow,” she says.
Refuting rumours that she’s planning to write a cookbook soon, Pia wonders where this story came from. “I have no idea what’s everyone talking about. I have taken to cooking and yes, I do enjoy it a lot and find it extremely therapeutic. But I don’t have that many recipes yet to come up with a book. It’s just been a couple of months since I started cooking and the first dish I ever made is yellow spicy rice, which my grandma cooks pretty often.”

Remember the ‘Dard-e-disco’ song from SRK’s Om Shanti Om? His six-pack abs had become the talk of the town at the time. Director Farah Khan had gone on record to say that she had shot the song with SRK like Ramgopal Varma picturizes his sizzling heroines, showing off every curve and sinew. Later Aamir Khan outdid SRK with the eight-pack that he developed for Ghajini. We couldn’t help but notice when we saw Shahrukh’s more-than-impressive abs in the new poster of RA.One – but why is no song and dance being made of it? Is it probably because the abs are not real, being just part of the very expensive costume that the hero wears? Remember all the hoo-ha about the amount of weight SRK lost while he had to wiggle into the rubberised outfit, and the fact that there was no way he could stop for a loo-break once it was on? Wethinks some of it could be the superhero suit, while the rest could be the magic of the mouse, or computer generated special effects, like so much else in the film. Or perhaps SRK wants all attention to be focused on the visual effects and other gimmicks in the film, like the Akon’s ‘Chammak Challo’ song, the stunts, et al? Well whatever the case is, we like the new poster of RA.One. Do you?

Off late, all we can hear is Kareena Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and only Kareena Kapoor. After the super success of Bodyguard, Bebo has now started working on Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod.
Early this week, Kareena got back to shooting her forthcoming flick at the Filmistan Studio. Dressed in a beautiful traditional Mughal attire in pink, Bebo shot for a song.
Rumors had it that in order to give dates to Aamir Khan starrer Reema Kagti’s film Dhuan, the actress held up Saif Ali Khan’s home production, ‘Agent Vinod’.
However, clearing all the rumors, Kareena says, “It’s unlikely that I’d delay Saif’s film. What’s his is mine too, so Agent Vinod is as much my baby as it is Saif’s.”
Bebo has four major films in her kitty: Shahrukh Khan’s Diwali special Ra.One, Aamir Khan’s Dhuan that comes on Republic Day, followed by Imran Khan’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu on Valentine’s Day. Agent Vinod could release in December or early next year.

While Adhyayan Suman is going about town claiming that he was the one who had introduced his ex-flame Kangna Ranaut to Paris Hilton, Kangy seems to be very annoyed at this. This is what she said in an interview to a tabloid: “The fact that Adhyayan is going around saying that he introduced me to Paris Hilton is hillarious. Does he even realise how immature that is?” Wethinks Kangna should go easy on her ex, after all any publicity is good publicity.

Republic Day 2012 is going to be very interesting indeed. Priyadarshan’s long delayed Tezz, starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Kangna Ranaut was due for a November 11 release, the magical 11/11/11 date. However, the producers in all their wisdom decided to postpone it to January 26, 2012, citing that another film was releasing on the November date – the team behind which the Tezz people are friends with. Essentially, Priyan and co got scared when they saw the trailer of Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and debutante Nargis Fakhri, featuring an awesome soundtrack by Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winner AR Rahman. In its closing frames, the Rockstar trailer proclaims – 11/11/11. Hence the panic and shift in release date.
However the Tezz team forgot that a tiny little film is also releasing on Republic Day – Reema Kagti’s Dhuan, starring a certain Aamir Khan. Now, Tezz producers Venus are caught between a rock and a hard place. Rather than go head to head with an Aamir Khan film, they are most likely going to delay the release date by a week. January 26 also sees the release of Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai, starring Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol. Perhaps that film might get drowned in the Aamir deluge, much like the Bodyguard wave washed Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl in Yellow Boots away.

Whispers in B-town of “Is she? Isn’t she?” can finally be laid to rest with Dia Mirza going public about her relationship with Sahil Sangha.
Dia surprised everyone during the music launch of of ‘LBZ’, when she accepted the fact that she was indeed in love with Sahil Sangha. She also stated that marriage is definitely on the cards for the two but not anytime sooner.
For those unaware, Sahil Sangha is the director and co-producer of the upcoming flick ‘Love Breakups Zindagi’ (LBZ). The movie is a romantic comedy which stars Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan, Cyrus Sahukar, Tisca Chopra along with newcomers Umang Jain and Satyadeep Mishra.
B-town had been speculating constantly about the relationship status of the two. In the meanwhile, the two always maintained that they were just ‘good friends’ like so many other Bollywood couples. The two were reported to embark on a relationship almost a year back which apparently intensified during the making of the film.
Surprisingly, the time she chose to reveal her love story to the world is just too apt in terms of timing, since ‘LBZ’ isn’t too far from its release. Just wondering if this is just another publicity stunt or true love indeed!
